Please update your Aussie pricing

Post by e_barkmann »

Hey Matrix

was just about to buy CC:LSA but I notice us Aussies have to pay $8 more. Given that our dollar is (pretty much) in parity with the almighty US dollar - could you please adjust your pricing to fall in line with the current rate. You'll make at least one sale [:'(]

The problem with giving Aussies parity is that the next thing you know, the Canadians will want it too. And then the Californians, etc. etc. It'll never stop until the collapse of the global economy. Followed by anarchy in the streets. Mel Gibson in a dune buggy, etc, etc. So you have to understand that your $8.00 has nothing to do with currency exchange rates. It is really an investment in the future of Earth and avoiding the end of civilization as we know it.

Let's face it the Earth is pooched so I'm here to claim what's rightfully mine before we all go under.

Blame the ensuing chaos on Erik! [:D]

Actually - End of Civilisation - is that a board game?

So its either an $8 cheaper game or the end of civilization ? Could be a hard choice !

All games should be billed solely in USD, regardless of customers location. This would take the burden of Matrix to manually update their prices and we again could take advantage from daily exchange rate.

There should be no exchange rate to foreign currency. You pay American dollars for game so it is up to the consumer to go get the exchange of funds and then mail that to Matrixgames. If you don't want to do this then you must pay "premium" dollars ($8 more) for Matrixgames services.

So you take your Aussie dollars and go exchange them into American Dollars then you go get money order and mail to Matrixgames then they ship you your product or give you direct download access after they get their American Dollars.

Long live America land of free unopposed immigration.

Exactly - when I buy stuff online I always pay in the local currency - it's up to PayPal/Visa to do the exchange rate conversion when they bill me. Removes all these complaints in one stroke.

Prices will be updated again before Christmas, we're also working on some improvements so that we won't have to do manual price updates in the future.

You want new pricing? I'll give you new pricing!

Guys from Australia that complain -- $500 USD for any title.

Hot chicks from Scandinavia -- $1 for any title.

I am normally not a fan of wealth redistribution, but this seems entirely fair and appropriate to me.

Sage advice !

How do you figure? Saving $8 on a computer game that will cause the end of civilization cannot help but be noticed. You've got to think these thing through... if civilization ends, so does electrical power. No power, no game. So you haven't saved $8, or even civilization. You've made a bad investment and inadvertantly caused the end of Matrix forums' being spammed. Just pay the money already! Save the whales by paying Matrix the lousy $8 already.
