Agreed, very well done.  I just won my first game on introductory level.  Time now to bump it up a notch and get serious!

A hidden gem is the tutorial page which contains a strategy guide and tips&tricks.  Good stuff.  Not in the manual though?

As for the AI, even on lowest level it was pretty aggressive.  I started 4-5 games and it took a while to get the hang of things.  This game I just won had several dicey moments: Rome invaded Spain, Rome invaded Africa, Syracuse rallied to my side and then revolted, my fleet beat a Roman fleet (6 vs 3) and then a storm sank it (damn!).  The option cards and events make every turn special and the battles are brutal.  All in all an enjoyable game.

I lost my 1st 4 games on intry lvl becouse i refused to read all the rules... Try the hard lvl, adding the senat makes things even more fun!!! :)
