Simultaneous turn completion?? While there is no TCP/IP.........disappointing, can one at least both work on their turns simultaneously. I am assuming that turn resolution is a WEGO.

The game is Igo-Ugo.

yikes I thought we were getting past such a simplistic method. Too bad.

There are plenty of excellent IGO-UGO designs (including this one. IGO-UGO vs. WEGO is just one part of a game's design, it has no relationship to whether it is a good game or not.

Well it certainly is an indicator certainly with realism IMHO. I havn't yet seen one. Then again I have most but not all of the IGO UGO program from Matrix. Maybe it is just a preference for some.

I'm not sure how you could even implement simultaneous turn in a hex based wargame. You'd end up with forces running right past each other depending on the pre-plotted moves.

Best wishes,

Doug

I think that the old V4V series did it that way?

Yes you're quite right - boy it's been ages since I've played that series. Can't even remember very well how it played.

Witp is also in essence a hex based game.......as well as AACW.......etc. Much more realistic effects IMHO. Still looks like a great game just an issue for some gamers.

Now those were some nice wargames.......pity they don't work on modern machines. You would think maybe someone would re-do them and have matrix publish them.
