The YAMATOS are without question the coolest ships in the Pacific War. They look so GREAT!

I love that guy's site, it's a treasure trove of good photos

I particularly like the "everyday photos" like this one of Takao; it's like you're right on the adjacent pier:




The details are cool; the guy in the rear of the torpedo mount (is he cleaning something?) the meeting at the base of the tower (bunch of officers it seems), and looking at what everyone else is up to. Awesome!

I'm just amazed at how technology these days can make those photos look like they were taken today. Absolutly brings life into them.
