Are there any FoW options available?

Yes you can have fog on or off.

How is FOW implemented in the game if you select it on. Does information on enemy units vary according to how closely your units are in contact with them? Is it possible for units to misidentify the enemy forces in front of them?

I'm really looking forwards to this game. Better historical realism without including every damn rivet, bullet, and drop of oil while providing beautiful graphics and a capable AI is just what the doctor ordered!

For each hex you have a "Recon" value. The higher this value the more info you know about the enemy unit there.
- very low recon and you won't see anything
- slightly higher and you'll see that there's a unit there but just a counter with a ? in it.
- higher still you'll be alble to ell what type of unit it is but not it's exact compostion.
- fight an you'll have full info.

The more untis you have near the hex the higher your recon value.

You can also use aircraft to really increase the recon value of a hex.

Excellent! The more I read the more excited I am about this upcoming game.

Best wishes,

Doug
