First Ship, intended as a escort.

So I only have one issue with this yellow one, there's blinking blue lights on it. I'm pretty sure I got rid of the pure yellow dots, but I guess not. Anyways I had intended it to be a replacement for the explorer.

There you are Titan A.E.'s Valkyrie No random flashing lights this time xD If anyone notices something strange let me know.

I recommend using it for planets without the clouds, Cybertron looks silly with clouds. I used barren.
I did not create this picture, and I do not own it.

Can you post in-game screen?  I'm curious to see how diagonal blue lines look when the engines are going.  As for the ship, if it had others to go with it in a set, I don't see why not, good drawing work.

Yeah using diagonal blue lines does not do anything but a portion of 2 pixels made a smaller exhaust line next to the big one.  So I fixed that and here you are.

*EDIT* I need something good to practice with my programs so I suppose I'll make some ships from scratch and make a set.
Even though it's only 200x200 pixels, I'll learn some tricks to make it look more 3D I did a lot of trial and error with the shading on this one >.<
I'm asking for any criticism of any type to help me with my skills on making these :)

First I think it is about whether YOU want to use it.
I spray painted all the ships of my fleet black, because I think a warship in space would camoflage itself as black. I am sure other people would think it looked stupid.

But yes, it is a nice ship, and one I would use.

I'm sure I'll love making a replacement for every ship in the game! lol
But my entire adobe collection has JUST collapsed randomly and nothing will work soo now I can't have my fun when I finally found a new use for it.

Thanks for the reassurance, that alone will keep me going.

And I FINALLY got it all working again after hours of annoying forum searching and constant googling hopefully it isn't temporary xD
I think I'm gonna make a bunch of random ships and pick out which style I like most then make a set out of it.  I shall begin my life on this forum! xD I smile as my post count slowly arises lol.

Really nice work, Slyke. Keep it up, but have fun. That's the most important thing.

WoodMan posted a photoshop solution to the blinking lights problem here:-

Thanks guys and I'm checking them all out today, I tried that photoshop trick and it should have worked
Guess I did it wrong.
Also i have a question the PDF thing about customizing said I had to keep ships within 200x200 pixels, but I have seen releases of 500x500 on here?

It helps if you have a smaller amount of memory on your computer... I think.
I redraw everything to 200x200 or smaller...

I could only find a screenshot of the Normandy in an action cinematic from a top down view. So It's not 100% parallel it's like 95%. If anyone can find a good top down view I'll gladly crop it out. I also think I'm going to recreate it like I did the Titan A.E Valkyrie. Just to give it that similar effect with my other mods. but here's a realistic Normandy.

OBSOLETEFirst post there's real game mesh version.

I'm sure I saw a 3D model of the normandy somewhere during my travels, but can't for the life of me remember where.

I did not create these pictures, and I do not own them. I forgot to save the link to where I got it too.

Thanks for mentioning 3D I got thinking about it and searched Youtube which led me to a list of forums and a bunch of guys who were modeling the Normandy and I luckily found this top view version someone posted.

:EDIT: Nevermind these are actually extracted meshes from the games themselves. So enjoy the Real meshes!

Thanks for these slyke, very cool.

You know, I never realised they changed the design of the Normandy so much. I thought it was just colour scheme!

Beautiful ships though they did very well with them.

Thanks! Major kudos! I love Mass Effect 1 & 2 (sorry about inadvertently spoiling it for you). When I first started playing DW, I picked up the Mass Effect background music mod and it just seems appropriate there should be a proper Normandy frigate to go with it.

Hey no problem dude.
If anyone else can think of any sweet video game or movie or anime or tv shows with some sweet ships in them let me know.  It seems when I have the ability to gather them all together I get a huge brain fart and can't remember all the cool ships. >.<

You could set SR-1 Normandy to escort and SR-2 Normandy as frigate, making use of both of them.

Looking good.

So I found something that was fun to do, take pieces of the Vanilla Distant Worlds craft and mix them together!
It's a lot of fun xD
Now just because I started doing this (maybe? O.o) doesn't mean I don't want anyone copying me. I'm actually curious what other people could come up with doing this, it's fun to do too lol. Well for me anyways.

Anyways I'm probably going to make a bunch maybe make a set. I never really liked the construction ship for humans, so I made it cool :3
