Forgotten Battles

Post by Ronald Wendt »

Hello,

in this thread i will post new scenarios from time to time. Some are about not very popular battles, some simply were started but did not make it in any version so far.

They are all not as heavily tested like the ones that come along with the game and the upgrade so there might be some glitches - if you find some let me know.

I will start with the conquest of Latvia by the Germans in June 1941.

The scenarios have to be renamed from XXX.txt to XXX.scn as the forum does only accept .txt attachments. XXX = name of the scenario.

This one should be called "Germany - Riga 1941.scn" and has to be placed in data/scenarios to be found by OB.

Hello Ronald, thank you for this idea. Will this scenario work with pre-patched version of OBTSFR (ver. 1.14)? I still didn’t made upgrade to 1.20 patch.

Hello,

this scenario uses features of version 1.20 so it should not run with older versions. So when you played through the stuff of the original version you now got a reason for the free update. [;)]

Hello,

its time for a new forgotten battle. In this one you will lead the Romanian forces during the siege of Odessa in 1941.

Now i used Stepload for hosting the scenarios so there is no renaming and the like anymore:

Odessa 1941:

http://www.stepload.de/downloads/IN_SbBIF--ZBgFP4QxYmDIfniFog4M8FkbdfHZcBa/romania+-+odessa+1941.scn

Riga 1941:

http://www.stepload.de/downloads/IN_SbBIF--ZBgFP4QxYmDIfniFog4M8FkbdfHZcBa/germany+-+riga+1941.scn

Have fun.

I missed this for over a week, sigh. Thanks for the continued support of the game!

I'm eagerly anticipating the fan-made African mod, although it seems the design forum went down for that, temporarily I hope.

I've tried to download scenarios from Stepload but it seems their server has some problems at the moment. Does anybody else have experienced this problem? Hopefully, it's just temporarily not available so I will try later again.

That should be both Vsadek.
Don't know what you have....so put both.

In early November 1943 the German troops on the Eastern Front were in deep trouble. The fall of Kiev and crossing of
the Dnieper in the area of the Pripiat swamps by the Red Army threatened to destroy the link between the
Army Groups Center and South.

To end the crises the 4th Panzer Army commanded by Erhard Rauss was ordered
to counter the Soviet attack.

With the arrival of the refreshed 48th Panzer Corps there seems to be a chance now to turn the tide.

This is the prelude of the new scenario:

Germany - Zhitomir 1943
