Seventeen pilots and Tojos lost just to bring down 6 B-25s by ramming. For some reason these mass rammings only seem to occur against the B-25H....is their some kind of bug in the code?

The leaders of the two sqds of Tojos both had Aggression and Inspiration levels of 50-55, so I cant see that being the cause of this. And those were not 50 exp pilots that died, most were averaging 65-70 overall exp, and in July 44 I dont have many of them left.

I have raised this issue a couple of times on the main forum but have not had any of the devs make a comment on this, hope I have better luck here.

I promise you they happen with great frequency against B-29s of all stripes as well.

I have not seen that once in my game that is now up to 5/44. However, my foe tends to pull back once I can reach his airbases with bombers. I dont use the B25H much, I prefer the D1, perhaps I should reconsider.

Post a save where it happens when the turn is executed.

Do you mean the combat replay or the actual game turn?

The actual game turn just after entering orders.  A programmer needs to run through the turn and see what's happening.

What is the game date??

If the attacking plane has a high damaged value (>80% of the aircraft durability), and passes a RAM check, it will do so.
It may be that the decreasing chance by year for ramming started off too low, so late game is too high.

There is also the chance that the pilot will survive the ramming.

I have noticed that the B-25H still attracts 'rammers' even when I  tweaked the ram chance.

I think that is because the B-25H causes a lot of damage to attacking fighters more often than other a/c and thus trigger the ram code as the attacker is unlikely to get home in one piece.

I have a save available, someone please let me know the e-mail to send it to....

Edit: Just seem the above post. No doubt this is due to the B25Hs high accuracy nose gun armament.

Yes. The Center-mounted guns on bombers is really twisting the A2A.
The CF guns should really only be getting the extra accuracy when being used by fighters, which are aiming the whole plane at the target.
The bomber on the other hand would require the enemy plane to fly directly at it down the path of the guns.

This has been tweaked in the next build so that the CF guns still can be used in the ground/strafe attack mode.
