I get texts from the wife all the time like this - how do I change the AC setting, my cell phone/computer/iPad isn't working right, the [thing] is making a funny noise, my car is doing [something she thinks it shouldn't], etc. I was a tanker, so I was trained to break things and blow them up as well. I can be in the middle of meetings, etc., and I get buzzed all the time with text messages - "call me because..." Grump.

You should limit your purported expertise in said subject matter. If your reply to all queries was, "Gee, I dunno. If I ran it over with a 63 ton MBT, would that help? If not, that's all I got."

Well that takes the GRUMPY right out of it. But I guess that's ok....GP

Not really - that reply should make her grumpy, and that's OK. We are an equal opportunity Grump University.

Times like this, I'm glad I'm still single.

I hated that crap, I'm a big boy, I know what I have to do. I just threw it in the trash, but not before I looked at it to see what I wasn't gonna do that day. It stopped the lists PDQ.

Some other things I never learned. 'Yes, dear'. Oh and, 'you're right, I'm wrong'.

Maybe that's why I'm divorced.

If you had to pick one, would it be the grenade launcher or Capt. Morgan?

I could get the Morgan with an RPG, so I thing I would go that route.

Hides the land mines.

You do not need a lawn to hide mines.

Gotland?

No, there are no minefields on Gotland.

Picture from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_mine with the following caption: Argentinian minefield at Port William, Falkland Islands created in 1982; clearance inhibited by boggy terrain

No snow here yet. Maybe this weekend. Plenty up in the Adirondacks though, I miss it up there, haven't been in some time now. Booked a flight to Chi-town as a prelude to the UP in MI. Should be fun, provided the snow holds. Fingers crossed.

Hey, you kids get off my lawn.
