Question on creating a new random campaign - 2/9/2010 7:50:02 AM

I'm interested in creating a New Random Campaign. My thought was to create 4 historic engagements and use them as the Key Battles for a random Campaign, with the first battle being a key battle. The minimum number of battles would then be 4. But Then I planned to add Other battle files suitably timed between these 4 battles. So that player might play as many as 14-18 engagements total using the core forces that started.

I've had some success, but I'm having trouble recreating the key battles in the battle plan to match the Scenarios they are based on.

So far I have not been able to do three things that I think I need to be able to do:

1. Set a vpbonusturn and vpbonusamount for the key battle. Is there a way to set this in a Battle plan?

2. How to limit the objectives to the set number and point values I want. Right now I can set 3 Objectives and have them owned by Russian, but when the Campaign is generated I often end up with more.
ld
3. How to specify the locations of both the German and Russian forces. I've defined the location values in the battle plan for both forces, but When the Campaign is genned up, only the German forces adhere to the positions designated in the Battle plan.

Are there ways to do the above three things in the Battle plan? I've thought about using a modified template file to attempt to control numbers 2 and 3, but I dont think that would n ecessarily work. (though it might get close).

Basicly then what i'm attempting to do is recreate a Set Battle Scenario in a Battle Plan that I will use as a key battle in a Random Campaign.

Thanks
Rick

Rick,

I can do all this for you but I think we might revist this after the patch when there is more time ok.

S.
