How did you transfer the game? Just copying the files over doesn't work, I get an Error 200 (or possibly 20).

I just do a copy and paste for the whole file. I also do that within the current computer when starting a new game. Then I add the latest beta and drop in the scenario being used. I would send one to you but it is about 2g of memory (Tracker included).

I no longer have an install disc. I lost it. Then I bought the game again and chose the DL.

Admiral Lord SPrior;

Did you register your game? Perhaps Matrix will allow you a download. They have some way to send an authorization to their DL service.

Even if you have not registered they might still authorize it. Point them to this thread. Nobody would spend 500 pages writing about something they made up.

Really? I thought most of this AAR was like the WWF- entertaining fiction. Except for the bits about the war of course.

Really? I thought it was the bits about the war that were the made-up part. Milo and the Electra are for real, right?

Milo and M & M Enterprises certainly exist - they just don't want all the details known.

So, it was Stalker Girl's b-day 3 weeks back and she went down to SD for a "girl's night" I am pretty sure it was hanging out by the pool and complaining about me but I got over it. I didn't have a real present so I took her out to dinner when she got back and, as a special treat, I did a 1/2 Brazillian "manscape". What a guy, eh?

Anyway, we go out to this gentrified biker bar Friday night and it's a good band so everyone is drinking adult beverages, especially SG, so the higher cortical filters have all been deactivated. I offer to drive the 15 minutes to get home and I'm barely out of the parking lot and she asks (with her 25 year old on in the back set I might add)..

SG: Do you have a new girlfriend?

Well, I figure she might be talking about Pocahantas Gril's sister who also had too much firewater and was shaking her booty a bit too freely when she asked me to dance with her (I am quite certain it was the firewater). Still, better to play dumb. Little did I know the excess booty grinding had been solved with a chica to chica discussion in the parking lot. We were over that and were now going to address a problem that apparently had been festering for 3 weeks

FAM: What the Hell are you talking about?

SG: Who did you shave your ***** for?

FAM: <I try to give the universal facial and neck twitch sign that indicates "can we not talk about this now with your adult son in the back seat?"...I respond, lamely> Well, for you.

The other funny thing is Pocahantas Girl:

A) Accused me of calling the HOA on her because her Escalade had a flat tire (parked in her own driveway) It's funny as hell because the same thing happened to me when I had the Suburban and I was sure a neighbor had narc'ed on me. See, this is one of the many corrosive influences the HOA has on our neighborhood.

B) Admitted that she saturated my couch (oops, that was supposed to be a secret..pretend I didn't say anything). Patron is like truth serum to her.

Either way he crossed it. he didn't say "no". Of course, he knew that if he said "no" that would have been even worse. She would have interpreted that as "yes". Once a woman asks that question, you are screwed no matter what!

Once he got the 1/2 Brazilian "manscape" the question was inevitable.

Okinawa and the neighborhood: JJ has apparently surged in bombers and fighters to Naha to try to get Yorktown which is parading about near Horrycrappo-jima. We trick them. We brow them up. The distance was trimmed to 3000 yds.

This is the most epic night bombardment of the game I think. Somebody rolled boxcars.

I think you have to conclude things are getting more desperate on Okinawa to try to run these ships in like that. Either that or they failed to see the threat from Kume-jima. Maybe they were reinforcing Amami-Oshima? A bombardment ordered for all 4 Allied divisions doesnt cause one Japanese casualty. We lost a B-17 and a Beaufort over Naha even at higher altitudes.

Bombardment by WJD arty at Okinawa. This can't be helping.

Ground combat at Naha (95,66)

Japanese Bombardment attack

Attacking force 14436 troops, 153 guns, 74 vehicles, Assault Value = 947

Defending force 43452 troops, 802 guns, 760 vehicles, Assault Value = 1307

Japanese ground losses:
231 casualties reported
Squads: 1 destroyed, 8 disabled
Non Combat: 0 destroyed, 5 disabled
Engineers: 0 destroyed, 5 disabled
Vehicles lost 5 (2 destroyed, 3 disabled)

Allied ground losses:
36 casualties reported
Squads: 1 destroyed, 1 disabled
Non Combat: 0 destroyed, 1 disabled
Engineers: 0 destroyed, 0 disabled

Back at Moulmein we spend the day unloading with JJ having withdrawn his ships from the Fray. The DC parties on Reso and Ramillies have a busy night, not sure Reso will make it; speed 3 knots, 80% flooding.
