I wrote in article on that this is a real problem with radiology. About 35% of errors are missed at editing:

quote:

The challenges of voice recognition software are many and well-documented on the Diagnostic Imaging site. The raw error rate for voice recognition might be as high as 90% requiring painstaking and diligent review by the Radiologist. The most interesting challenge for the radiologist is reviewing reports and confusing what the radiologist thought they said with what is actually recorded on the report. The mind often substitutes the original intent for what is actually on paper. For example the article Radiology Report Errors and Speech Recognition Software points out how easy it is to miss the ‘no’ before a statement ‘evidence of cancer’. Distressingly, Pezzullo et al. (2008) states in the article Voice Recognition Dictation: Radiologist as transcriptionist, “After signoff, 35% of VR reports still had errors.

So, at a hospital which will not be named, one of the employees comes out of her office into a hallway near the doctor's dining room and discovers a feculant odor. She glances down, prudently, because one normally does not find this kind of stuff above ground level. She discovers a code brown. Environmental serivces is called. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Now, security is intrigued so they review the security video in the hall. They skip back 30 minutes. They find the nursing superivisor walking down the hall..she stops...she inspects..she spots something on the carpet.....she makes a face..she goes on.

They scan forward..a passerby steps on the offending log and tracks it across the carpet

Now they are motivated to find the culprit..they scan back...they find a a cafeteria employee walking down the hall...he stops.. he shakes his leg...et voila!

JJ lost 37 airframes yesterday. A great many of them trying to attack Jolo with only Nicks as escorts. They need to bring up first line fighters and win the fight or it will just get worse. There are multiple rested squadrons of P-40K's with good pilots to throw into the fight. The fast trasnport taffy with 1st Bn/102nd infantry arrived at Jolo safely.

From our perspective, supply at Jolo is very low (red exclamation point low). The SBD's there will move south again as they are not much use without bombs. The C-47's from Ternate will try to fry in suppries.

The LYB garrison at Cotobato is weak. It might be an SNLF unit but with only 16 guns I think not. We have a Kiwi Bn in amphibious load at Ternate at 100% prep for Cotobato. They could probably take it. Cagayan in Northern Mindanao has even a weaker garrison. We also have 8th Marine Regt pre-loaded at Ternate but they are prepped for Dadjangas or Davao...can't remember which. They could probably take Cagayan even with 50% disruption form an unprepped landing.

Taytay is within reach of Jolo by airdrop. If there is no garrison, the para coy at Jolo coudl take it.

Admiral Lord Sprior;

Take the turn first if you want. SG took her laptop to work as punishment because I went to sleep at 7 PM last night and wouldn't watch the 12-12-12 concert with her. I was tired as Hell and all the performers had turkey necks.

I actually got up and went to look in the mirror to see if I look that bad. Phew!

Mouseover recon shows a CVE at Beazelbob? Maybe that is Kaga? Either way, we can't wait forever so an amphbious taffy with 16-17Kt transports escorted by a CL-based SCTF is going to sprint across the Celebes Sea and make for Cotobato with a Kiwi Bn and a US Army Tank Bn. P-38's from Ternate and Corsairs from Sidate will try to cover.

Remainder of 1st bn/102nd heading for Jolo by APD and will be followed by some AK's and an LST with suppries.

Yes, I live about 15 miles from Sandy Hook so it hits home. Unfortunately, this sort of thing seems to be happening with increased regularity.

Hope the community recovers khyber.

I'm not watching any coverage because I don't want to see the greiving relatives pictures. I don't think that is right.

Everyone hug their kids.

Situation Eve. 26th (I imagine..as Rord Admiral Nerson appears to have been kidnapped by the Hopi again..or maybe it ws the Navajo):

The USN/RN (I was supposed to send the RN back to Ceylon but I missed Caradoc ) should be in the Sulawese Sea and could likely make Jolo to drive off Sendai if she does not depart to rearm. I think Sendai was in the western Sulawese yesterday near Tarakan and moved North during the night.

There are many Jap combatants at Palau but they can't reah Jolo in one day.

I'm think of breaking off the CL and the 2 DD's with the Cotobato landing force into a second SCTF to cover the landings at Cotabato.

Jolo will need some replacement aircraft..probably USMC Corsairs.
