Withdrawal from Dunera Base ?

Post by wild_Willie2 »

Hi.

In 38 days I am supposed to withdraw a group from a base called Dunera ?.

This base is not located on the map, at least I can't find it.

Shamelessly hijacking the thread... [8D]

What do you guys generally think about transporting air groups on xAP/AP as converted cargo?

It seems to be odd considering crated aircrafts in passenger cabins, isn't it?

On the other hand there is a conversion factor for cargo which might justify that and of course the cruise speed of some of the liners make them excellent for transporting air groups over long distances like WC to Oz. Are there any known cases for that in history or is this maybe a gamey tactic?
If you gained knowledge through the forum, why not putting it into the AE wiki?

There aren't enough AKV's around to do it any other way. I generally use AK's and not AP's to transport Aircraft. AP's are too valuable for transporting LCU's around.

Yes, a waste of resources. Also, I believe that aircraft can only go in cargo and can not be cross-loaded in trrop space. AP, APA, and xAP have lower cargo space that AK, AKA, AKV, AKL, and xAK. AKV's are short. Consider doing some of the conversions.
I have been inputting my orders for the campaign game first turn since July 4, 2009. I'm getting close. In another month or two, I might be able to run the turn!
