Hi all,

Just wondering if supply flows in a straight top down sort of fashion. As an example:

There is one supply entry point. The allied first corps base draws supply and forwards to both the second and third divisions supply bases. they in turn forward to their respective regimental bases and so on........

What happens if the axis completely blows away one of the divisional level supply bases?? Does that mean that that the regimental bases receive no further supply?? That the attached units get nothing once the on-hand supplies runout?? For that matter what if the single corps level base went down to destruction......... would no one receive any further supplies?? One of my current games seems to be suggesting this.

Please say it ain't so.......

Rob.

The supply lines are determined each resupply determination event - ie at 0600 and 1800 each day. At that time each supply depot ( ie Base ) determines from where it will draw its supplies. Normally this will be up the chain - eg a Bde Base will draw from its Div Base. However, it may decide that its better to draw directly from a nearby supply entry point ( SEP ). If the supply source it is drawing from is destroyed then it will have to wait till the next resupply determination event to determine an alternate source. Now in some scenarios one or both sides may be restricted to just one resupply determination event per day - ie at 1800. This reflects the practice of only resupplying at night due to enemy air superiority.

Does that help?
