Since the original CCIV had no errors I think the theory here is that there making it up to us.

no errors in the original CCIV ... yes it's true.
matrix was added mortars laser ....
So why do a re-release that does nothing? and sell it?
Buy now and get your patches .... this is not correct

CC4 was probably one of the most stable releases by Atomic of the CC series.

Matrix though did add features to the re-release;

- BG's without fuel can not move
- BG's can retreat when routed instead of just being disbanded
- both sides to reinforce (toggle on and off)
- more arrows/maps in the strat map
- more battle groups

Unfortunately though some bugs were introduced. With the patches to date most of the bugs seem to be fixed, though there are a couple outstanding, so the next patch should get them and it looks to be adding some of the features from TLD which would be a win for WAR owners.... Now back to the original question, any ETA Matrix on the next WAR patch???

Some time ago, I said the dev support was extraordinary; I should have said the dev support seemed extraordinary!

Shame they missed out on providing it to us before the Holiday started.
4 Days of being able to play would have been good.

I hope you guys are looking into all of the roof files too?
I see quite a few graphic errors with them.

Sometime in late March
Until then it's work/work and more work.

I get a white line that show up on some houses when troops enter the building.

Speaking of the long ago mentioned patch, what is happening???

Some people can not continue the campaign as it crashes:
tm.asp?m=2299124

If a vehicle gets down to a single crewman it can be invisible:
tm.asp?m=2115520

Disappointing indeed...a classic "whats wrong with this picture???" Whats sad is that I continue to play and mod CC4 while WAR sits on the shelf waiting for a patch.......
Not money well spent.

All you have to do is remove your current BG from the map and bring in a new BG right where the AI's last deployment was.
Totally ruins the AI's(and/or)Opponents deployment in your favor.
I don't know if thats the case with CCIV,care to give it a shot and let us know?

I now see a lot of graphic errors on the maps, most are minor but after awhile it just becomes very discouraging.
Case in point,Buildings have white lines outside when the roof is removed,Building level #'s are inconsistant and in some cases sloppy, borrowed buildings are blurry/out of focus, and in some cases you can see lines on the map from poor blending of textures. The background is the original Bastogne map.

yeah I've seen those white lines as well...they seem to bother me more than the blurry ruins since I've encountered the same thing once or twice re-doing those CC4 maps. I prefer to think of them as fogged-in [:'(]

The white lines mentioned earlier.

The white lines are problem with using Groof 2 when creating the rfm file for map. I believe Mafi's 5CC has an option that can fix the problem....

What map is that? I can try 5CC and see if it does fix the problem without introducing any others. If so then we should be able to post the fixed file here....

Edit: gone through A to L and only found 1 building so far where the .rfm had to be redone (Butgnbch.rfm).
