Seriously Matrix

Post by Sarge »

Seriously ,

I think the spam is a little out of control wouldn’t you agree ?

Now we have some clown kukuruza spamming the crap out of every thread with one liners , I realize its hard to control who or what registers but to be honest its starting to become a chore to follow anything in the General threads .

They have been able to for some time. Let's not start pretending (like Sarge apparently "knows") that Matrix is allowing spam on their forums for fun and profit.

Where do you get this crap from ………?
You honestly read into my statement below that Matrix is profiting from spam ……seriously ?

You might want to spend little more of your internet time over at Dr Phil’s forum rather then running around playing vigilantly

Agreed, the spamming has really increased over the last couple of months.Heck, there seems to be a new spammer or spambot everyday.[X(]

@ Goodguy
Do you get paid as well for advertising Spam here, or do the funds go directly to Matrix?[:D]

LOL liked your spam though.

@ Sarge
Noticed the problem today, never really paid so much attention to the person you mentioned, but in about 10 min he's spamed the whole forum. Sad to say there are some wierdos in the forum.

Its terrible,

As I said its probably imposable to prevent once your targeted , all I was trying to say was it sure makes a mess of things. At times its hard to follow especially when they start one lining every thread.

Truth be told , I’ll opt for the spam over T’s delusional axe grinding BS any day..............[>:]

Man: You sit here, dear.
Wife: All right.
Man: Morning!
Waitress: Morning!
Man: Well, what've you got?
Waitress: Well, there's egg and bacon; egg sausage and bacon; egg and spam; egg bacon and spam; egg bacon sausage and spam; spam bacon sausage and spam; spam egg spam spam bacon and spam; spam sausage spam spam bacon spam tomato and spam;
Vikings: Spam spam spam spam...
Waitress: ...spam spam spam egg and spam; spam spam spam spam spam spam baked beans spam spam spam...
Vikings: Spam! Lovely spam! Lovely spam!
Waitress: ...or Lobster Thermidor a Crevette with a mornay sauce served in a Provencale manner with shallots and aubergines garnished with truffle pate, brandy and with a fried egg on top and spam.
Wife: Have you got anything without spam?
Waitress: Well, there's spam egg sausage and spam, that's not got much spam in it.
Wife: I don't want ANY spam!
Man: Why can't she have egg bacon spam and sausage?
Wife: THAT'S got spam in it!
Man: Hasn't got as much spam in it as spam egg sausage and spam, has it?
Vikings: Spam spam spam spam... (Crescendo through next few lines...)
Wife: Could you do the egg bacon spam and sausage without the spam then?
Waitress: Urgghh!
Wife: What do you mean 'Urgghh'? I don't like spam!
Vikings: Lovely spam! Wonderful spam!
Waitress: Shut up!
Vikings: Lovely spam! Wonderful spam!
Waitress: Shut up! (Vikings stop) Bloody Vikings! You can't have egg bacon spam and sausage without the spam.
Wife: I don't like spam!
Man: Sshh, dear, don't cause a fuss. I'll have your spam. I love it. I'm having spam spam spam spam spam spam spam beaked beans spam spam spam and spam!
Vikings: Spam spam spam spam. Lovely spam! Wonderful spam!
Waitress: Shut up!! Baked beans are off.
Man: Well could I have her spam instead of the baked beans then?

Remember SPAM is MAPS spelled backwards and we have battle MAPS. SPAM was a US ARMY ration staple, again a reference to war. SPAM kept us in meat (????)  during rationing, oh hell SPAM bah humbug.......

Barring a "registration application" or a "waiting period" like some forums - I think it is impossible to weed out hired spammers. It's a brush fire war with nearly all forums.

And even with things like that in place, you still have to check every new user as they sign up to see if they have a spamming history or not.

Why is it that "spam" is not a valid reason for reporting posts?

I am getting tired of the spam. It may actually be less spam now than before but it is still annoying.

I see why you dredged up the old thread. Your point is the problem is still here.

Thats funny I thought you could report spammers? I guess my first comment is that spammers are like cockroaches. The moderaters delete the post but more scum come out from behind the cabinets.

In the "General Forum" there are a couple of members who report them when they see them. But I can see by the number of them and that the spammers show up in the game forums its hard for Matrix staff to keep up. I think the best we can hope for are dilgent watchers like your self to keep reporting them
