Back in the olden days I would send along the Combat Summary File with the Replay File and the Turn File and insidious replay bugs would be discovered and disposed of used the tried and true Pompack Method. Now, since I've played a couple of 'vs AI' games the SAVE FOLDER looks like an ant nest with a cast of thousands all saying "pick me, pick me".

Is there an easy way to know which one is the file just executed with your brand new PBEM?

(Has the Replay Bug finally been exterminated?)

Re - Combat Reports - the most recent is the one without the date in the file name...it will simply state combat report...and will have a duplicate with the date in the file name IIRC.

RE - Replay Bug - aka Sync Bug - Could actually be (or was) 100s or 1000s of individual separate bugs. We think we squashed most of them.

Thanks - I now see the subtle difference in file name

Do players still have to agree on music on or music off to avoid the sync bug?

No
I believe I had found and fixed that particular bug before Release.

Depends on your browser, but in most cases you can "view details" and sort by date before attaching files. The recently changed files will be on the top/bottom, making it easier to pick out the right report and game file.

You can also display the files with the date, sort by date, and the newest will be on the top or bottom (depending on whether the sort was ascending or descending).
