I'm curious how multi-day turns have played out during testing, both PBEM and vs the AI. Is the AI able to handle them OK?

I'd like to start my first AE game against the AI with 2 day turns to prepare for PBEM. I really hope to play 2 day turns in future PBEM's, since I can't really even keep up with 1 turn/day and I'd like to actually see 1943 in a game one day.

We've done TONS of multi-day turns during testing. Andy Mac has been playing with the AI all the way through to the late war and that's really the only way to test it properly.

And yeah, the AI does about as well as can be hoped with multi-day turns.

AI plays better on 2 or 3 day turns you will get a better game if you play em that way

yup, because you can't react as fast as with 1 day turns.

Very good to know.  I suspect it's more a case of taking away some of the human player's ability to micromanage and leveling the playing field with the AI in that respect than actually improving the AI's capability.

Thanks, Andy!

Right, multi-day turns is a great "leveler" for the AI because he can change his mind during the multi-day turn and the human cannot. Especially in the land game where the computer can move and fight - and the human cannot.

With waypoints and patrol zones - the naval movement isn't nearly as much affected.
