Tsugaru was a skoosh over 400'. Okinoshima was a skoosh under 500'. If that's almost the same length, well - ok.

Status: offline 		You should probably go complain to Sander at combinedfleet then. He has Tsugaru at 408 oa, and Okinoshima at 491 oa. Got a big chainsaw and can always cut off as many pixels as you want.

Looked them up in Watts and Jentschura. Looks like 391 feet wl for Okinoshima and 397 feet wl for Tsugaru.

Too bad, probably be a loss of detail...

Nan, deska. To'no chainsaw'des.

Oh, shoot ... let's see ... 3 weeks to chainsaw through the hull sections all around ... whoops, cut thru the bunker corner ... then another week to strip out the dross and line things up; 2 weeks to do the new ship girder ... another week or 2 to do the exterior sections .. maybe 1 or 2 weeks to replan the deck layout ... another 2 weeks to redo it ... ok - date certain - 4 more months till release, give or take 3 to 4 months (mostly give).

No worries though, Don. All the data came from Watts and I see they are about the same in tonnage. As to the art, we can chainsaw Okinoshima down to a rowboat if that's what people want.

There's more complete data in Jentschura. I could sell you a set (cheap!).

I think these guys were originally done up by Joe et al (oh crikey, before the millennium, even), from Watts & Jentschura. I looked at a lot of stuff from Watts to Conways to Janes, and think the data is good. The base art was from even earlier stuff (WiTP and CHS), so it's no wonder we just went off plump dumb & ducky.

probably find a few more pieces of art that are a bit longer/shorter than they should be. All depends on the particular source that was used for loa; source sucks - art sucks.

Have Chainsaw, Will Modify. Wire JWE, Capo Beach.

Status: offline 		I still hate those rediculous little flightdecks on the back of Ise and Hyuga. Talk about ruining a perfectly good BB. If you are going to convert it, do it from the deck up (a full conversion) or not at all.

Question: What new missions might be available for some of the larger minelayers like Okinoshima, or even the CS units? Can any Minelayers be used for transport?

How about CS's? Can we use them as fast transports (since Nisshin was actually sunk in this role).

I think this has been asked before: Can Nisshin be converted to CVL similar to Chitose class?

Yes, in both regular Transport TFs and Fast Transport TFs.

The mechanism and materials exist, but are not turned on in the base scenario. They are turned on in AndyMac’s Enhanced Japan scenario, however.

Yes, minelayers, CS, and some other auxiliary types can be used for transports (if they have capacity defined).
