Greets all,

My opponent and I have begun to play the South Seas scenario. Unlike the Campaigns, my system (I am playing the Japanese) is not generating a combat report, but is generating an operations report. There are no buttons to see either within my game. This is a stock clean install, so there should have been no problem.

Should the game be generating a combat report? Should there be buttons to see both reports?

Please help :)

Thanks!

Does this not kick in after the first turn has been played by both sides.i remember starting a PBEM game and not being able to access certain screens eg reinforcement until after the first turn had been played

That is what we originally thought, that besides the air, land and ship reinforcement screens, these reports would be accessible after turn 1 was executed.

Alas, it was not so :(

But thanks for replying, very kind of you.

Like turn 5. And it is not that much of a problem for me, because WitP Tracker works well, but my opponent uses WitP Utility, and that does not work without the combat report, it seems.

I could restart, and see if it works then, but we have already restarted once... and the previous time (and this weas before a clean install) I was not getting any combat reports either, so I fear it will not really help.

Look on Game Options screen - there is Combat reports switch just on top. I think you both should set it on and after complete turn ( Jap order - Allied order - Combat replay) this should be generated.

Love your banner.  I think I've commented on it before.  Where did you get it?

Thanks Barb!!!!

I inadvertently turned combat report off, and that was the ONE thing I hadn't checked :)
So problem is solved. Many thanks to those who took their time to think about it and post a reply.

Are you asking me or Kitakami?
My banner was made some time ago by rogueusmc. He should be now working on a new one for me, as I somewhat passed from Tin-can to attack aviation fanboy
