Anyone hear from Mogami lately?

Post by Ron Saueracker »

Just wondering how Mogami is doing. The "tweaking thread" and mention of food and beer reminded me of Russ.[8D]

I talk to him on occasion.  He's safely back from Kuwait and back to the civilian world.  I expect to see him at Origins this summer.

Knowing Mogami, he poisoned them with Pilsner Urquell. [:D][:D]

Naww, Russ wouldn't do that (why waste the good stuff on the ungrateful?).... but Pilsner Urquel is probably the reason we haven't hear from him since he returned!

Keep it up, men. We'll smoke ole Russ out eventually. You know he's reading this junk, and the urge will become overpowering eventually...

Hi Everybody.  I'm fine thanks for asking.  Lots of stuff going on.  I married my long time GF while on leave in Sept. (we had a baby right before I deployed) So I spend my time changing diapers and learning Pashtu for my  next deployment (Afganistan)
Time goes by very quickly.  Still having trouble getting used to the cold. Have to go to my 60 day redeployment drill today where they make sure we are adjusting.
Hope to get back into gaming someday. Miss being here.  Will try to go to Origins if I don't have a school to go to over that time. I still need BNOC to be promoted to E-7.
The deployment was like "Ground Hog Week" we didn't repeat days we repeated the same week.
 I didn't work in a DFAC (I still have never worked inside my MOS) I worked in ASG-Kuwait's S-3.
Take care and I'll see you when I get caught up with everything here.

Great to "see" you again, Russ, and I am glad that all is well with you.

Problem is, you have been allowed to reproduce, so there is no way we will ever get your influence out of the gene pool now.

A new baby. Sends shivers down my spine and makes the hair stand up on my back. "There but for the grace of god ..."

Take care of yerself, dawg.

BNOC= Basic NonComissioned Officers Course
DFAC= Defence Finance and Accounting Center
MOS= Military Occupation Specialty
ASG= Area Support Group

Ground Hog Day Was a great movie ....the man lived the same day over and over till he broke the cycle ... check the movie out.

Note DFAC Can also be Dining Facilities Administration Center .... But I'm giving Mogami the benifit of the doubt
and if you need a translation of GF, you need to get out more.

Oh, that's what BNOC means. I thought Russ had to go to school to learn to use BiNOCulars!

GF = girlfriend, which can lead to fiance, which can lead to wife, which can lead to 3 kids, mortgage, car notes, college tuition and which probably all means that you still do not have that Corvette that you have always wanted. Not that I am bitter or anything.

Congratulations on becoming a father and husband!!!

These two things seem (ironically) to be highly correlated with deployments. Congrats to Mogami for a safe deployment in the CZ and moving on to the next phase of life...By the time your child is sleeping through the night, AE will be out...
