I'm not sure how many of you have memories going back that far, but today's marks the second anniversary of FOF's release. I think you can figure out a good way to celebrate...

I remember how disappointed I was in the initial release.  I remember the detailed AARs that enticed me to give the game a second chance months later.  I have been too busy playing it since then to remember much else.  My thanks to those involved in this game.

Gil,
This is the best game I've ever played. I've waited all my life for a good strategic Civil War game and this is it. I used to play the massive War Between the States board game back in the '70s but it took weeks to play even when you found a player. This game is great!.
Thank you and the entire FOF staff.

Jim

Thank you for all of your comments, which are certainly appreciated.

Barker, if you're asking about the next patch, I'd say it should be out before too long. Still checking and tweaking...

Take what GIJim said above and put my name to it too.

This game is what I have been wanting forever and I too played many of the board games - when I could find someone to play.

Awesome Game!

I bought it when it first came out and played it for months. Last month I updated it and started playing again. It's just as much fun today as it was the day I bought it.

I concer, i too shelved the game at first, but after more then a year i pulled it out and patched it up , WOW.....i have been going at it like crazy and really enjoying the depth of this game and all the choices. I installed the flag mod, man this is great. When i was young i would play toy soldiers with my little army men, this is like that but 10 times better. Setting up my men and giving them a flag, really great stuff. Makes me want to be a kid again.....i guess i am still a kid just a little older. :)
