Creating Passing Plays

Post by hack153 »

Here is something new that will be used in my upcoming release of v3.4.2.

I drop the QB back, move him a side step to the right, then drop him back again, wait, then pass. This seems to help the QB keep a steady platform when passing the ball, which should give him a better Comp %. Somehow it avoids him from wanting to conduct a running pass.

In my old system I used - drop, wait, pass.

I'll be reconfiguring most of my plays to be consistent with this.

Interesting. I will try that in some 8man plays, see how it works.

the QB will still move when a defender is close and looking to rip his head off. to me, it also make the pass look better, and gives him a better throwing platform. not sure why.

i work graveyards, so on my days off i keep the same schedule...for the most part.  i can't really do a whole lot when it's dark out, so i end up playing MaxFB while my family sleeps.

i also think that i find these things out because i'm pretty OCD.  if you look at my plays from version 1 to now, there are some really big differences.  i'm always looking at ways to make them better and more effective.
