Guerilla geezing!!!

Post by AW1Steve »

Based upon discusssions , with some very good suggestions from RevRick and others , I thought I'd try setting up a "geezer" thread. For all you geezers and geezer-wanna-be's out there , who while maybe not completely comfortable with this new-fangled tech , give it your best shot. A good place to "geeze" at all these young punks , and help out one's fellow old-timers in trying to deal with WitP, tech and punks in general! As RevRick say's ., "Geezers United". (Sound like a backwoods soccer team). [:D]

Before the geezing commences, did we ever get the pore ole guy with the surfaced sub with no go juice straightened out? Sorry about hijacking your thread, old chap!...

We gave him the information I think. The odds are the US forces would try to rescue him. The question is would they be successful , or be in time. In 1944 I'd say sure. In early 1942 , I think they would try , and be unsuccessful. [:(]  And it's not my thread, it's our thread! [:D]

Maybe anyone who is just "feeling like a geezer" should be allowed to post.  [:D]

Some days I feel more of a geezer than others.

Well, I wasn't talking about this thread. I was talking about his. But, no problem. Now, what I want to know is what all this advertising is on the one eyed monster about testing on bell phones? I've had the same bell phone for the past forty years. Little black think with a good round dial on it, and when it rings, you pick it up. Now why do they have to test them now, and why are all the kids getting into testing on the bell phone? Are they starting to break? And how do kids know that and I don't? Mine still rings! If all the kids are getting excited about it, what are they getting excited about testing for? I never like tests when I was a kid, let alone on the bell phone. And, if there are any things going on about testing on the bell phone, what are the teachers doing? Nothing!! Land's sake alive, what is this country coming to with kids doing their testing on the bell phone?

Wait, my daughter just came in. Maybe she can tell me.

Oh...

never mind..

[:D]

with apologies to Gilda Radner.

Now, I know some of the geezers know who that is.

I hope..

Geezerhood begins the day you find yourself using one of these phrases:

"When I was younger..."
"These damned kids today..."
"I remember when these just cost a nickle (dime, quarter, etc.)..."

I'm 52 and feel like it today. Just returned from the range after shooting a match from 8am to 4pm, then an hour drive home.

Saturday I will be RO'ing the main match and chasing all the young whipper-snappers through my stage.

After that it will be [>:]time when I get home!

I think I qualify as a geezer. Some of the people I am working with now weren't even born when I started working here[:D]

I remember the day I first felt like a geezer....or at least felt old.  I went to a high school football game and realized halfway through the game that I was not looking at the short-skirted young cheerleaders...I was looking at their mothers.
