Hey guys:

I realize that 1.04 is not officially released but I wanted to pass along a few notes about the 1.05 install that you should know:

This is mainly for people who have replaced the counter graphics with their own. I have changed the directory structure quite a bit so the install tool will be deleting and re-creating the graphics directory with several sub-directories. Point is that PLEASE take your counter graphics and back them up before you install 1.05, I realize this is a pretty early noitice BUT some of you have spent some time on those graphics and I don't want to delete them without you having some type of recovery option!

Again, this will only be for 1.05 and NOT 1.04

Hey guys:

I just wanted to post again to remind of you of this for 1.05!
Get ready because I want to post a 1.05 BETA VERY soon after the official 1.04 release.

Any map changes coming in 1.05 or are we done? Because I keep modding the map files and they keep getting overriden nearly every patch.

What is the new estimate on the timing of the 1.05 release?

I am close to submitting the first BETA image to the testers next week.
This first image will be without the editor for now.

Be your own release manager: Don't add the editor. Make it for 1.06, but don't perturb the code.

That's good advice and I will probably move the editor simply because there are a lot of fixes that I would to get to you guys quickly.

Yup. Much better to have one update per month with fewer fixes, than one every three months with the same fixes.

If anybody whines about not having enough fixes, I'll volunteer to be your pit bull.

The editor should be seperate from the game code so there shouldn't be any conflict? It would be good to get a beta of the editor out for feedback with v1.05, then maybe make it official in v1.06. The sooner players can start using it, the sooner we'll start seeing more scenarios appear - both classic EiA and updated EiH variations.

The editor is already integrated in the engine but it can be easily turned off as it has been since version 1.01b :-)
