Difference old/default VS new/armored HQs ?

Post by R_TEAM »

Hi,

have played a couple of battles and wondering who is the difference
from the old/default HQ (looks like a truck) and the new/armored
HQ (looks like a armored half-truck) ?

Only the GFX - on the values (attack/defence) i see no difference..

Thanks for enlight mee [:)]

I am guessing there is no actual difference in combat factors, nor in the sound files. It just looks better, and is probably more historically accurate.

There is the armored factor; meaning the new HQs could not be fired at by most infantry units more than a hex away.

HQ units are notoriously susecptible to really any kind of fire...I have had inf units destroy them on EF (Whewn playing russian) Meaning the Gepanzert units. Personally, I like them...They look soooo cool

Hmmm... that's odd. I seem to have had a post deleted. [&:] Or lost? If anyone sees a post that appears to be in the wrong thread, just send it back here. [8|]

For the german battailons headquarters the old icon was quite accurate.

On pictures of the east front you can see this kind of bigger truck for battailons headquarters of mobile forces (tanks, pz grd, mot art and similar)

They should have the platoon level radio and the battailon level radio as well (dont remember the Fu-XX number at this precise moment) but both took quite some space a good electrical supply (generators) and quite a big antenna (hence the bigger truck).

Hi,

@cw58
As i stated "..on the values (attack/defence) i see no difference.." it is NOT "red" defence - so it is
not armoured - even the values not the same [;)]
As Jason pointed out - an error.

thanks Jason [:)]

Yes, you are correct. [:'(] [;)]In my post that was accidently deleted, I admitted that I was in error; the new HQs, even though they had armor values, were not recognized as hard targets as I had thought. [:(]
