Perhaps you scrolled down in the upper part of the box? Try replaying the battle and use your mouse wheel to scroll up.........iirc, other players have experienced similar issues. Hope this helps. If not, please provide complete details.

Right after this combat I sent another bomber (with normal results). Don't have the savegame anymore.

It's a tech-ed up bomber vs a transport. Didn't overfly anything, nothing special... I thought.

Sveint if your playing UV2.0 in this case, that critical hit by the transport would not damage the tac-air unless it did at least 30 suppression to it. Remember I doubled the damage threshholds from 15 and 20 to 30 and 40 because all suppression attacks are divided by a fixed 2.

The results would have been similar under the stock system had the transport rolled 3+ for the random divisor. Total suppession would not have hit 15 then. So the critical in either case does not garantee a hit, but at least under UV2.0's system that critical hit by the transport is more likely to save it from being sunk because the tac-air will have more suppression applied to it.

But why does the transport get +36 to attack?

Because it rolled the lucky critical hit which gives it a certain modifier which is then doubled since it is a suppression type attack. This gives any unit a very small chance to inflict very unusual damage.
