There's plenty of others involved who may or may not "out" themselves before release. That's up to them.

That’s why I have "problems sleeping" and am up at 4:00 in the morning again. I get sympathy from her and undisturbed playtime with WitP.

"Honey, now listen. Playing WiTP is part of my comprehensive stress reduction program. Along with not talking too much with you about stressful things and taking naps on the weekend, I hope this begnign activity doesn't bother you too much. Hey, I don't go out to the bar with the guys and oogle girls, I don't spend a lot of time and money golfing -- and, above all, I am home with you and the kids. I know I could be more engaged, but hey at least I am here --- unlike the 50% of marriages that end in divorce because the wives don't give their husbands enough room. And, more guys my age die of stress related illnesses than anything else -- so, playing WiTP is the responsible thing to do for my marriage and my family. I know you don't like it too much, but then again you could have married a cheating lout who runs around like a dog in heat -- compared to that, me playing WiTP is something you should embrace. Don't you agree? ... Good. I'll have a ham sandwich and a beer for lunch -- and if you could keep the kids quiet until I re-conquer Wake Island I would appreciate it. Thanks, you're the best."

Just in case anyone needs some help.

Regards,
Feltan

Combine that argument with a plan to point out to the wife a few things repeatedly: everyone who gets divorced is because the husband had nothing fun to do at home; and everyone who keels over had something to do with stress (i.e., heart attack, cancer, etc).

After twenty years of gently pointing these things out, I have uninterupted game time just about anytime I want it.

Feltan

Don't forget "MichaelM" - he is also programmer together with Joe and Don (also please remember he was the guy who first wrote utility to extract data from scenario files - "WitP Load")!

same here :).

I just wanted to say, too, that as much as I thank WITP's development team for this great announcement and the prospect of an impressive addon...I HATE YOU!!!!...

because now I can't wait for summer to come. I want the expansion NOW! ;).

I said: NOW!!!

I'm an impatient guy or what? :D

PD: dedicated to the developers of the Admiral's Edition:

Hey, you, what are you doing, reading this message?. You're wasting time. If you spend time reading this thread, it's time you're not spending in working for the add-on to be ready sooner. SO GO TO WORK! NOW!

Woos mentioned he is somehow "involved" with AE, but only said that future versions of WitPDecoder will work with the add-on.

I really hope they make it part of the game because I've never been able to get it to work.

Here's what Woos wrote in the AE General Thread:

quote:

I can confirm the latter statement as I'm currently fighting with that format (with support from Matrixgames). If I managed to wrestle it down, there will be a witpDecoder version for the Admirals Edition. That version will have limited support for plugins so user will be able to extend the functionality of the "Map overview" tab.

Kid,

When this all happens, after I get setup, I will try to assist you to get it (whatever it is) working.
