This looks great. What screen resolutions are supported? What about widescreen?

Almost anything that your display can handle. Andrew might correct me if there is a top cap.

Andrew,

Looking at the screenshot, the hexes look very large - is there a way to make the hexes smaller, so that you can see a larger part of the map on the main screen?

Thanks,

The mini map has grid references on it so that in Multiplayer mode you can use the reference to tell other players where you are or where you are going.

"OpFor spootted GR y5x7, need support there now!" .... you get the idea.

The screen res. on that widescreen shot isn't very high, it can be raised from the in game options.

Looking at the screenshot, the way the tanks were positioned looked like they were in hexes.

Let me phrase the question in a different way: Can the scale of the map be changed so that a larger area appears on the main display? For example, the tanks will look smaller, but tanks that are just off screen now will then be visible?

Thanks

yes, by turning up the resolution this will happen.

This is limited by what your screen can handle though... the LCD I'm on as I type this does 1024 x 768 and that's the best it will do, even though the game supports much higher resolutions

Impressive stuff! :) Not really into tactical games since the good ol' classics (CC II / SP I), but might get this :)

I have a 1360 x 768 display using DVI. And for CC5 this resolution is supported. Except, the menus are streched from 800 x 600 no matter what I have my monitor settings at. (ie. I have keep aspect ratio).

Will the menu's in this game be displayed at 800 x 600 or will they be larger on my monitor. Will they be letterboxed, etc..

Also, I am worried if my system can handle these beeg maps. I have Athalon 2000 with Radeon 9600 and 1GB or ram.

Regards,

your PC should have no problems.

The menu's etc are letterboxed ie Have a black border ... the battle maps fill the screen as you see in the pic above.

Thank you Andrew, but will the menu's display in 800 x 600 pixels or 1024 x 768 on my monitor. Please find out if you can. I think I want to get this one.

Also, do the in-game gadgets display in blue, like on your screenshot. I noticed some in the AAR section that were green.

Well, OK,

I guess I will stick with CC5 for now. Let me know if the information regarding the menu screens and gadgets becomes available.

Ok, thanks, actually I like the new color, and I can live with the 800 x 600.

Forgot to mention, I am officially excited now.
