Vista Flashing Issue

Post by vadersson »

Hi Guys,

I FINALLY got around to getting JTCS (thanks for being at Origins) and installed it on my vista machine. However I have noticed that when I scroll the screen it flashes white and then I can see the map fine. The game seems to play, but just with each "step" of scrolling I get a white flash. Any ideas?

Here is my Direct X Diag file.

Any help would be great.

Oh, I should mention that this has only been tried in RS bootcamp 1. I have not had time to play much more.

Thanks,
Duncan

According to the Readme:

'In Vista™ if you experience an issue with the scrolling refresh during the game please go to the Properties of each shortcut and put a check in the box next to “Disable desktop composition” to resolve this issue'.

That should fix the problem
