sabre1, Rob and I are still working on it. We are slowed by day jobs and family matters and we are having trouble locating some interested folks to help with maps/scenarios/campaigns whiel we work code and data item. We are still waiting on a bit more map artwork (roads/rivers stuff) to have a full starting palette for map making. Trying to get OOBs/TOEs sorted out for the time periods is also slower then hoped. We do have all of the data for the platforms/weapons/sensors for the 4 countries spanning 1948-1979 done and 95% of the platform sils are done too ( a few odd stragglers to knock off). Formation information of a consistant nature for those 3ish decades if very hard to find. We have a ton of source, but digging through it all to get decent numbers is taking a lot more time then I would have liked and we are looking at simplifing them to get it done enough to final test and ship. Given all of the editing capability in this version, folks will be able to adjust and add to the data that ships. Part of the delay in this version of the game engine has been to work in all of the various editors and other mod capabilities (graphics/sounds). Not as cut and dry easy as it sounds. A number of new features requested from Flashpoint Germany have added to extra work in the AI and to most of the code routines. If we can get some additional heads helping out soon, we may be looking at an Origins time frame. The Revamped FPG (called Red Storm- covers 50s-80s) needs a ton of map graphics work in order to do maps/scenarios/campaigns, but the platform/weapon/sensor data is 90+% done and only the OOB stuff will need tweaking from the ME versions to make it viable. Matrix is also interested in seeing the game system go into WW2 as well and with a bit of tweaking to the artwork for RS and a bit of data work ( we have a few WW2 platforms in the game, but a bunch more will need to be researched and converted into our data system) we would be in a position a few months after RS releases to get that one done (again faster if we can find a few dedicated folks to do maps/scenarios/campaigns). I hope that tell enough of where we are. The game looks good and run well right now. Rob is knocking down a few minor bugs and we are tweaking the new AI and combat code. I think folks will like it once it is out. The game should be fun and the ability for 3rd party folks to jump in with new stuff should keep the game very replayable. More info when I know more. Thanks.
