Hi-Playing Allies, scen.15,v1.804, 8/43. When checking TF fuel status on Argonaut, I noticed that she has a 6 Capacity. I believe this is an aircraft capacity.

If correct, what aircraft can be loaded on her, missions, etc.?

Many thanks, Hugh Browne

IIRC this is a booboo held over from the early days when many (me to be specific!) believed that capacity on subs could be used for supply/troops when in fact it only applied to aircraft capable subs with a floatplane. What actually determines cargo capacity is durability. So, I'm assuming this version of Argonaut is the APS-1 refit from Feb/42 which historically converted her from a non-functional mine-layer (the sub was still technically classed as a minelaying sub but in fact her minelaying equipment was removed prewar) into a special missions sub. In subsequent mods the Argonaut has this capacity removed and durability increased (with maneuver reduced to compensate).

By the way, the Argonaut's initial configuration as a functioning minelayer is actually a falsehood but because folks were used to it being functional in UV it was decided to leave it that way in WITP.
