On the front menu, from when the game is loaded, select the 'Missions' button, in the campaign list on the top left you can select to create a new mission. I've not tried it myself, but I assume this is what you are looking for.

Realised my mistake, you wasnt talking about the mission generator was you. Had a play around with the mission creator and had to take a look at the manual to see what I was doing wrong, and in there it mentions you can download the MOD SDK from the Starshatter Downloads page. Magics version there is 1.5 so does this work with TGS?

Thanks for the reply,

But your right I'm more interested in tools not included with Gathering Storm: Magic 2
Magic 1.5 should work still but would not support all the new engine feature, at least that was the case with Starshatter 4.5

Check www.starshatter.com downloads for new un-/packing-tools! Though .dat files seem to be no longer safe ;)
Beta of Magic 2.0 is also there.

Salutations TurgotZ.... remember me?

I'd like to regain a copy of the undatter file. Send a copy my way if you can. I may get back in to modding TGS.

Greetings Master_OG,

I'm doing fine. Still lurking around. I've been on the far side of the galaxy doing some exploring and prospecting. Got stuck on the perimeter of a worm hole for a short time. Decided to come home after escaping its gravitational field.

Just purchased a copy of The Gathering Storm. The urge to mod again struck. Currently attempting to gather some needed tools and regain a copy of my old mod as a resource.
