Japanese Economy FlowChart v3.0 (summer 2005) - ATTN:"Spooky"!

Post by Apollo11 »

Hi all,

I noticed several times that old (and wrong) "Japanese Economy FlowChart" v2.0 is used.

Please note that we determined that v2.0 Japanese flowchart was errornous and I fixed that (with "Subchasers help regarding advice on PhotoShop filters to remove "smudges" and with member help to enter good data in) and made v3.0... this was around 12 monts ago...

Making things even more confused....according to this chart each HI spends 2 Oil and 2 Resources each day, but the manual is very clear when it states that each HI spends two oil to generate 1 HI point (to the pool) plus 1 oil to generate fuel/supply (total of three). From where comes this disagreement?

First, this chart shows each HI using 1 oil and 1 resource to produce 1 supply, 1 fuel, and 1 HI point.

Second, I do believe that the manual is wrong and things were changed about version 1.3.

I beg to disagree. The chart shows 1+1 to generate supply and another 1+1 to generate HI points. There are two arrows pointing to each kind of production in one extremity and to the comsumption in the other.

Whatever you think. Everyone else reads that only 1 of each are shown going to the HI box. You can read it as you want to.

In that case is the manual completely wrong? However, I concede that the inflow is only 1+1, so it is possible your interpretation is correct.

I've always looked at it as 1 Res/1 Oil produces 1HI, 1Supply, 1 fuel.

Hi all,

I think that v1.3 of flowchart is correct!

Made my own test using a Guadalcanal scenario and creating an HI at Truk, with enough supplies. The manual is wrong. Each HI spends 1 oil and 1 resource/day. The v1.3 chart is correct.
