Hello All, I've just purchased my copy of TOAW III from Matrix Games. I am an old TOAW user from way back and have a home grown and very large scenarios currently running on ACOW version 1.04.01. The scenario is a very large Barbarossa scenario using 10km per hex map and 194 turns (one day turns).
Can someone please advise how (or if) I can convert this scenario to run on TOAW III. Currently, when I attempt to load the scenario into TOAW III, it simply states 'scenario will not run on this version of TOAW etc'. The only part of the scenario I have managed to 'convert' so far is the map using a bitmap image!

It sounds like the scenario might not have been converted to Opart 300. If that's true, first open the scenario in the CoW Opart 300 editor and save it. Then you should be able to open the scenario in the TOAW III editor, and when you save it there, it is converted.

Thanks JAMiAN, I followed your advice and have the scenario working.
It appears the problem stemmed from the fact that the origional scenario was built using TOAW WOTY (War Game of The Year) version. I ran it in ACOW, but I don't think I ever used the ACOW editor on the scenario. Once it had been loaded into the ACOW editor (ver 1.04) and saved, I could then load it into the TOAW III editor without problems.
Presumably any early TOAW scenarios will also need to be converted to ACOW before converting to TOAW III?
