I don't know what happened to that 1950s multiplayer league, but now that 2007's out I'd like to give a new one a try. I have a bunch of unused server space I'm paying for, I could host the leauge on there once I practice with the FTP settings in PureSim. Personally, I perfer all fictional teams and players - real players are for fantasy leagues.

Any thoughts? Is someone else thinking about making a league?

spartacus, any league you decide to do - count me in.
I'm sure the league will be filled in a matter of days.

If I had a vote I woud go with 2 8 team leagues. World Series only, no playoffs.
the mlb set up until 1960

I'm kicking around the idea of doing a league myself
but I'm going to go the real player route

i think my FTP league will be available in July.
my sked is one factor but I also want to wait until at least a couple of updates
are put in before I go full steam ahead.

most likely I will start to working on it this weekend.
I already got 3 people in.
it will be a real player league.
still havn't decided what year to start with 1971 or 1981
it will be two 8 team leagues.
AL: Yankees, Red Sox, Orioles, Tigers, Indians, Athletics, Rangers, Mariners
NL: Pirates, Phillies, Giants, Dodgers, Cardinals, Reds, Cubs, Brewers

you want in & have any suggestions - go ahead & name them
I'm open to anything

Any chance I could talk you into ditching the Brewers and replacing them with the Houston Astros?

Although before you commit to anything, I would need to know what the sim schedule would look like. I drive a truck and have a rough schedule to work with many MP leagues.

I'd love to try a league using real players. I like the idea of fictional players, but don't have the time to study and learn close to 1,000 players to see what my needs are. With real players, I already know.
