I'm playing my first PBEM as the Allies, but I can't view the combat phase of the game. After the planning is finished it saves for me to send to the opponent, then the next file I get only allows me to plan again. How do I see the combat?

Your opponent has to send you the *.001 Combat replay file and the turn file. It is also good if he sends you his combatreport.txt file also so you can check if your replay is correct.

Where exactly is that combat replay file?

How does the game know which "player-side" is viewing it? Just curious, does it read a serial number and match that se# to the player side, or something similar?

in the "save" folder

the japanese player automatically sees the replay

the american player selects the *.001 file to watch the replay and then selects the saved game file to move his or her units
