Where have you been?

It'll cost ya at least $5 for the small DL.
$20 for a CD. You have to make a donation.

Is it any good? Of course for $5.00 who can complain. It'll probably sit on my hard drive along with SHIII, SPWAW, All the CM's and whatever else I've forgotten I had while I play WitP and WPO.

O/T Does any body have any of the Harpoon series and if so are they any good. Used to play the board version but ran out of room.

For $5 you get a "light" version.
The $20 CD will give you all the mods too.
You'll want a seperate install, there's no switching exe file for it.

I play it, and it's pretty good. New window dressing for an older title.

i played the hell out of the harpoon (360) series. had all 4 mods. a bit buggy in spots like a soviet SAG cutting across part of turkey in the dardenelles. biggest problem i had with the big scenarios was trying to fight a sub contact off spain and intercepting an air strike at tel aviv as they were real time games. i have the whole series with the upgraded maps on cd from somewhere.

I haven't had any problems running XP.
Then again I run older Win95 programs too, and don't have problems that others have had.
Must be "user interface".

I always feel the same sadness when i see SH links as when flight simms are discussed. So many great topics to wargame....so little time. I have the orig SH and the expansions but never completed even a single full campaign. Always wanted too....sub sims make for a great change of pace. Have great memories of a full Silent Service II campaign i fought long ago....starting with an old leaky S class boat.

Need to win Lotto then i can play all day like Mogami

Yes I did play a few SS campaigns, always starting with an S boat.
I think I once made it to the end of the war without being sunk, but it's been so long ago I can't remember.
