James Crowley -> RE: Piercing Fortress Europa (4/23/2013 4:10:04 PM)

April 22 has come...and gone [:(]

Erik Rutins -> RE: Piercing Fortress Europa (4/23/2013 5:14:28 PM)

Correct, it was pushed back a few days but is imminent.

GJK -> RE: Piercing Fortress Europa (4/23/2013 5:26:28 PM)

My birthday is tomorrow. I think tomorrow would be a perfect day to give the press release. :)

The thing that I really like about Frank's games is he doesn't use tiled images for the graphics (same terrain image tiled over and over again). It's a full image map so it looks much more natural than the tiled image style of graphics.

From the screenshots on the product page, that's not the final map I assume? Looks tiled to me. But yeah, a more natural map a la AH Anzio would be great.

And I assume turns are 1 week? It doesn't really say except that the Sicily Campaign is 20 turns. It looks good. It's about time to have a decent PC version of AH Anzio, or close enough!

Rtwfreak -> RE: Piercing Fortress Europa (4/25/2013 2:50:58 PM)

It's the 25th where's the screenshots you promised?

Erik Rutins -> RE: Piercing Fortress Europa (4/25/2013 6:34:01 PM)

Yes and you could have put a link in here being "customer friendly" you know like businesses are supposed to be? I swear one just can't find good customer service anymore.

Erik Rutins -> RE: Piercing Fortress Europa (4/27/2013 5:03:06 AM)

I am also, unfortunately, way too busy to remember every thread where I posted or replied.

We do however post every announcement in the Press Release forum just above this one.

GJK -> RE: Piercing Fortress Europa (4/27/2013 6:19:53 AM)

Too funny. Is it cutomer friendly or consumer idocy? One has to wonder.

My vote is the latter, and frankly, all the hostility around here lately is getting really boring.

wodin -> RE: Piercing Fortress Europa (4/27/2013 3:51:18 PM)

Well no one complains about the endless non gaming threads...[:D][;)]

Sometimes things need abit of spicing up and a discussion on gaming in general is healthy and makes a change..[;)]

Anyway..

Is this going to be similar to OCS games where it's about logistics and supply etc? Or a straight forward wargame...

Oh I'm sure they do..... not that there should be an issue - it is a General Discussion forum after all.....

No problem with a healthy debate - I love a good constructive argument. Sadly this pricing stuff has just become downright obnoxious (not by all parties I hasten to add).

What's too funny is you don't know how to spell. lol [:D] (cutomer) lol

GJK -> RE: Piercing Fortress Europa (4/28/2013 7:35:45 AM)

Not true. I can spell "customer" just fine, it was my typing that was amiss. However, if you're going to play grammar police, the proper phrasing should of been "What's too funny is THAT you don't know how to spell."

At any rate, this immature banter can end now.

lol, lol.

Well it's one thing to have a debate it's another for certain characters to come into a thread just to try to start a flame war ala mr. GJK there. I made a legitimate statement in the interest of customer service for the game. He on the other hand just tried to start something and contributed nothing to the topic. But, being the mature one I certainly won't let some sniveling child upset me.

I imagine you will have some informed responses once the forum for this title is opened.

Thanks
Rick

How can a straight forward wargame about the Italian Campaign NOT be about logistics and supply? The whole point of Operation AVALANCHE was to invade the Italian mainland at Salerno, within fighter range of airbases in Sicily, with the objective of securing the large port at Naples, so that the Allies would have sufficient logistics and supply to sustain continued operations. In the AH Anzio boardgame, players get to choose among the various major and minor port cities with different supply rates for where they want to make their landings. There are pros and cons to be weighed. German defense has to be flexible, but with an eye on using logistics and supply against the Allies or else you're toast. So I don't see this being an "or" issue.

It would be nice to see a forum, to see some comments about gameplay in this new game. Eh?

LRRP -> RE: Piercing Fortress Europa (5/4/2013 6:57:32 PM)

Any idea when this game will be out?
