Looking to do some easy "what if's". Just gave the event editor a look at. I really did not see how to change arrival dates on reinforcements? Would this be difficult in Case Blue Full?

I was reviewing some of the other posts in here, there is some good info on modding the game, almost answers the original question, not quite though. I see you can mod values of units, but it appears to be in the base that would mod all in game. I'm thinking about modding just certain units that performed better in history for both sides, sort of making is less vanilla for all units(morale & Exper.) Is this done in the events screens? Does not seem I can mod the 11th Pz in the historical screens.

My two cents - there are no easy "what-ifs" in this game, which is why you don't see many mods hosted here yet, even though the game is very popular. An easier editor has been promised by Vic, so I would wait to see what that can do.

About the easy editor: I am working on this, but it is not going as fast as i'd like. Its defenitely still in the planning though, but it might require me to rewrite the whole way the current masterfile and events are structured. About the reinforcement dates using the current scenario setup: go to the his-tab and check the tempvar3,tempvar4,tempvar5 of the historical units, the signify year,month,day when they arrive as reinforcement. There is also a generate PDF button wich will make a new reinforcement list based on this data. best, Vic

Thanks Vic. BTW, I'm an older War gamer, started on SPI games and Avalon Hill games in the 70's. Last wargame I bought was War in the East, it was pretty ok for a monster game. This game system so far to my liking is pretty darn good! Best war game I've played in a while. Has great potential for the future too! Basically , excellent attritional system, leadership cards are a great change, editable to boot.
