SgtJoe -> Error on graphics card (1/25/2013 1:39:08 PM) I have a new ux31 zenbook laptop. It is equipped with intel hd graphics 3000 adapter. When I install and run Cross of Iron get this error: Close Combat Error can't access surface for lock Googled it and it seems to be a directdraw problem. Anyone? Josh -> RE: Error on graphics card (1/29/2013 9:09:26 PM) As no one has answered this yet, have you tried the Cross of Iron subforum? I don't have te game but personally I'd say it's a compatibility problem between the ageing game and a new OS and new drivers. I don't know how up to date the game still is, but if I were you I'd go to your graphics adapter menu and tick off some of the "newer" options... like AA and FSAA and what not. Cross of Iron may not recognize them and cause the error... just a hunch ofcourse.
