Well if the war is not going quite to plan, Nicholas and Alexandra can always take a Black Sea cruise aboard the ship. I find it really helps soothe away the tension caused by, totally uncalled for, Central Power aggression.

It can be used to give full supply to Batumi (city on the Black Sea coast) if the Ottomans attack through the Caucuses. Other than that - not unless you conquer Galipoli!

Keeping your unit in Batumi in full supply has been the only use for it so far.
