The Airforce Heritage Foundation has a nice page on Facebook, with some amazing photos of vintage aircraft. Here is a nice shot of a P-40, P-38, F4U, and a FW-190 thrown in for fun.

Here's one of my favorites, a rare P-51c:

Just love that Focke Wulf.
Now you know what I want for Christmas.

Focke Wulf was my favorite Axis plane of the war, especially the D version. Here is another shot from the ground.

Weren't the Tuskegee airmen armed with the P-51C?

I always had a fondness for the P-40. A sort of elegant aggressiveness, never much liked German planes, most appear to be only killer machines.

Yes. Ultimately, the D model as well.
