Matrix Games and VR Designs (www.vrdesigns.nl) are pleased to announce the release of the v2.11 update for the acclaimed strategy game Advanced Tactics: Gold. This comprehensive update contains new additions such as extra random map creation options, as well as changes and bug fixes.

In the update, players will be able specify continent size, precipitation level, geological age, and other options in creating their random maps. The random map games in Advanced Tactics: Gold provide new and different challenges each and every time and this adds to that flexibility and replayability! The v2.11 update also contains other changes to improve random maps, and important bug fixes for improved gameplay.

The full changelog below:

Additions:
  • Extra random map creation options. You can now also specify continent size,
    precipitation level, geological age, and set some other new options as well.
  • Added the option to remove certain setup options from random game setup screen
    in the modfile. This could be of interest for modders making their own random
    game masterfiles.
    • If you now add: "noworldsize-noweather-maxplayer02-maxplayer03-etc..
      -maxplayer13-noworldtype-nomaploop-nomirrorish-noshrowdno1townstart-
      nocostlyresearch-nostoneage-nocrates-nohiddenstatsnoaiallied-
      nouseresources-noroads-nowildlands-nodepletedlandsnodesertedlands-
      nochangemaster-nocontinentalsize-nohumiditynogeologicalage-
      nolimitedroads-nonaturalcoastlines" no options will be
      available at all.
    • If you just add: "noworldsize-noweather-maxplayer05" there will be no
      world size and season options in the setup screen and max number of
      players will be limited to 5.


Changes:
  • No longer roads through high mountains in random maps.
  • Extra regime names and flags in random maps (about 20) including some more
    variety in regime names.
  • Added a random game setup button using alternate graphics.


Bug Fixes:
  • Fighter fuel IV bug fixed.
  • Cancel declare war bug fixed.
  • HQ negative supply transfer bug fixed.
  • Auto Upgrade on seas bug fixed.
  • Bug with change enemy units HQ fixed.
  • Fixed revealing location of AI capitol during AI play moves.
  • Fixed an AI bug.

The v2.11 is comprehensive and will bring all versions of Advanced Tactics: Gold to version 2.11. I downloaded the game, and have my purchase key, but I got a new computer and there is nowhere to re-download it from?

Surely you backed your original game download file or can retrieve it from your old computer. Yes?
