I was not busy for months with the game and I am also not up to date on recent developments since version xxx. [:(]

So I installed the latest beta version of 1.06.14.

I've read that has worked among others on the AI.

Can you confirm AI changes?
Do the AI behaves now more clever? Aggressive or defensive?
What changes are noticed here?
Did the work on the AI makes a noticeable positive impact?
Other notice about the revised AI?

Version 1.06.14 only contained one bug fix for the AI. So no changes to the way it plays.

It depends on what version you played last. There have been several changes to the AI over the past few versions - it tends to be better handling with pockets - avoiding and creating. It still occasionally 'forgets' about pocketed units however.

As I said, I have not touched Gary Grigsby's War in the East for months.
Too bad I can't remember my last version played.
But I can assure that I don't touched the game in 2012.

OK you can look at back of the latest manual to see the updates since 2011. In that case, yes I'd say the AI is better now as posted above.
