Kraftwerk -> How does one add new ItemTypeGroups (3/27/2012 5:24:42 PM)

Ive done it before, but for some reason ive totally forgotten.

I think all I really want to know is how to rename them, I appear to be able to assign locationtypes to use say, grouptype 14, I just want to change its name so I can remember what it is.

Its done under settings, in the property sheet window, under group names (the first item on the list)...scroll a bit down in them and you will eventually get to itemgroups.

I have a question that probably has an answer somewhere in here. I thought I would ask outright
while I search through everything for it. I want to make random games in ATG with late 19th Century
technology. ie: no trucks but maybe jeeps and then trucks available as a research technology.
I know how to make research expensive. If not possible I just want to make trucks unavailable.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you start a random game and get a map you want, hit edit, click Sett (or Settng or some shortened version of Settings, its at the top) click the load masterfile button, hit cancel, thatll allow everything to be editable. Then click Items, in the window on the left where the list of units is, just click the ones you dont want and hit the remove item/unit.
