oldspec4 -> Quick Question on Map Scroll (12/6/2011 10:03:58 PM)

When I move the mouse cursor to the various buttons on the right side of the screen, the entire map scrolls to the right.

Is there a way to prevent the map scrolling when selecting one of these buttons?

Thanks

BTW, so far I like what I see after very limited gameplay, e.g., GUI and graphical improvements from TOW.

doomtrader -> RE: Quick Question on Map Scroll (12/6/2011 10:06:43 PM)

Which resolution are you playing?
Full screen or windowed?

oldspec4 -> RE: Quick Question on Map Scroll (12/6/2011 10:10:55 PM)

Full Screen at 1920 x 1080

doomtrader -> RE: Quick Question on Map Scroll (12/6/2011 10:18:20 PM)

I'm not able to check that resolution on my laptop, but the first thing you might do is to use shortcuts for those icons.

doomtrader -> RE: Quick Question on Map Scroll (12/6/2011 10:21:33 PM)

Give me couple of minutes and I'll prepare a file for you.

oldspec4 -> RE: Quick Question on Map Scroll (12/6/2011 10:21:46 PM)

Shortcuts are an option but I prefer to click the buttons [;)]

gwgardner -> RE: Quick Question on Map Scroll (12/6/2011 10:24:18 PM)

I find on 1440x900 that if I am careful not to move the cursor too close to the right edge, then it doesn't scroll. eg clicking on the left portion of those buttons.

Please download attached file.
rename the format from .txt to .zip
unzip it and paste to the Time of Fury/data/ subfolder, you should see the overwrite file question, so please store the original file in some safe place.

scroll fix for 1920x1080

oldspec4 -> RE: Quick Question on Map Scroll (12/6/2011 10:29:30 PM)

I tried that also but the map just continues to scroll. Suppose that I don't have the sensitive hands [:)]

doomtrader -> RE: Quick Question on Map Scroll (12/6/2011 10:29:39 PM)

Please let me know does it works for you

jglazier -> RE: Quick Question on Map Scroll (12/6/2011 10:30:36 PM)

Doomtrader - is this attachment a fix for the scrolling window problem the OP asked about?

Rasputitsa -> RE: Quick Question on Map Scroll (12/6/2011 10:35:09 PM)

I am having the same effect on Full screen 1600x900, as soon as the mouse pointer gets close to the mid-point of the right-hand buttons the map starts to scroll. It is not a big issue, but forces care in moving to the buttons. [:)]

doomtrader -> RE: Quick Question on Map Scroll (12/6/2011 10:39:45 PM)

This is how it should look after changes:

doomtrader -> RE: Quick Question on Map Scroll (12/6/2011 10:40:53 PM)

@jglazier, yes, this file should move the right menu like at the image above.

@Rasputitsa, the file will be soon ready for you.

oldspec4 -> RE: Quick Question on Map Scroll (12/6/2011 10:41:35 PM)

I think that did it!! I just tested the new file and now appears WAD.

Thanks for the quick support on this.

jglazier -> RE: Quick Question on Map Scroll (12/6/2011 11:10:42 PM)

Will this also be a problem in 1920x1200? I plan on buying the game tonight after work, and would like this same fix if so.

Thanks!

The last two attachments say scroll fix for 1600x900. Is one of them for 1920x1200?

I'm sorry, description fixed.

Rasputitsa -> RE: Quick Question on Map Scroll (12/7/2011 9:35:57 AM)

Thanks very much for the button fix, I am guessing that the mods available ToW can also be done for ToF, like GWGardner's transparent boxes and changing text colours. Early days yet, plenty of time to start tweaking the display. Thanks again.[:)]

With Time of Fury you can change even more :-)

Rasputitsa -> RE: Quick Question on Map Scroll (12/7/2011 2:44:36 PM)

That's very good to hear, except a lot is already there.[:)]

Missouri_Rebel -> RE: Quick Question on Map Scroll (12/7/2011 11:31:31 PM)

Thanks

Hi Doom, i would appreciate the same fix for 1680x1080 resolution. Imo you should include include this fix for all possible resolutions in the first patch. Thanks

Thanks Doom [&o], I think everybody is going to ask you for their resolution, make sure you include it in your first patch [;)]

doomtrader -> RE: Quick Question on Map Scroll (12/8/2011 6:46:22 PM)

Most probably it will be included to the patch.
However you should remember that the current official version is WAD [:)]
