After installing the patch and the mod by dazoline, the game won't start anymore. I'm not sure what the problem could be, if it's the mod or the patch.

There is a difference between the size of the patch as specified on the Member's Club page (309.49 MB) and the size of the file ~295 MB), however.

The weird thing is that no error of any kind is given, the game seems to boot (the mouse disappears) and a few seconds later it automatically closes.

The error seems to be DirectX related according to the log.

I don't know what else could be using DirectX, as PCO's the only running program that requires graphics aside from Windows.

There is a difference between the size of the patch as specified on the Member's Club page (309.49 MB) and the size of the file ~295 MB), however.

The weird thing is that no error of any kind is given, the game seems to boot (the mouse disappears) and a few seconds later it automatically closes.

The error seems to be DirectX related according to the log.

I don't know what else could be using DirectX, as PCO's the only running program that requires graphics aside from Windows.

If the main game menu starts, try opening the configuration settings and check to make sure those are all set correctly (screen resolution, etc.). I seem to recall some reports of this getting reset.
