We just got back from the yearly trip to Emory University Hospital, and the good news is that my wife is cancer free for 13 years now and climbing..

i know what this mean.

but, if i can add something; why free for 13 years ? Is there some kind of deadline ?
(my wife is cancer free now but the only limit is only until/if a exam says contrary).

Congrats. Hope to hear that about my wife in about 12 more years (finished her radiation last year)

I'll pray that it stays that way for her for the next 13 years and then the next 39 after that.

Wonderful news, Rick. It appears that somebody up there is on your side...

Eric, I don't believe that his post means that there is any limit. Instead, this was the 13th annual checkup with no sign of the cancer returning. I expect that they will keep going to Emory for those annual checkups (and I hope that the result will remain the same).
