Dali -> RE: BF-109 Stats For Ultimate Axis MOD (2/26/2010 7:28:40 PM)

T-1 max speed 453 ??

che200 -> RE: BF-109 Stats For Ultimate Axis MOD (2/26/2010 7:38:40 PM)

That is the data i found dali. Do you have better data ?

BTW sending you PM now

Dili -> RE: BF-109 Stats For Ultimate Axis MOD (2/26/2010 7:50:35 PM)

Can't be. Certainly about 540kph.

che200 -> RE: BF-109 Stats For Ultimate Axis MOD (2/26/2010 7:56:33 PM)

I thought WITP AE used MPH ?

che200 -> RE: BF-109 Stats For Ultimate Axis MOD (2/26/2010 9:13:12 PM)

It would be 335 M/H max speed ? I think it is too slow, slower than BF-109E ?

Dali -> RE: BF-109 Stats For Ultimate Axis MOD (2/26/2010 10:18:11 PM)

I bet around 350 ..
Based on the model of Me-109E and greater wingspan tend to improve availability and climb, but certainly not speed ....

che200 -> RE: BF-109 Stats For Ultimate Axis MOD (2/26/2010 10:51:22 PM)

So what do you think the climb rate should be for all models ?

Regarding speed of BF-109T i am looking into it and service rating is 2 because of thin undercarriage and the fragility of the plane in carrier landings.

Nemo121 -> RE: BF-109 Stats For Ultimate Axis MOD (2/26/2010 11:43:41 PM)

FW-190A8, F and 190D stats?

che200 -> RE: BF-109 Stats For Ultimate Axis MOD (2/27/2010 12:08:59 AM)

It will be in a new thread Nemo, Models I am looking at are :

FW-190A-3
FW-190A-8
FW-190D-9
TA-152H

By any chance do you have any stats for BF-109T or any of the other models above as I am not that happy with the high altittude Maneuverability especially of the K and G models ?

JuanG -> RE: BF-109 Stats For Ultimate Axis MOD (2/27/2010 12:24:38 AM)

A few things;

1) Normal range should be ~80% of Extended range from my understanding.

2) Manuever ratings should decrease slightly as speed increases.

3) I would suggest service ratings of atleast 2 because of the complexity of the inline engines and Japans relative inexperience with them.

che200 -> RE: BF-109 Stats For Ultimate Axis MOD (2/27/2010 12:35:28 AM)

Interesting Juan Ranges are my biggest problem at present still playing around with them and the drop tanks. Regarding Service rating I was thinking that I would have German units Service them as I will be placing a German expeditionary force to your excellent MOD with additional naval ships BBs and CVs. So do you think german units would have had the same service rating problems ? And I am having second thoughts regarding the maneuverability ratings in the high altitude area for the BF-109s as from what I am reading it was Germany's premiere high altitude fighter as FW-190 did not perform well at high altitude.

JuanG -> RE: BF-109 Stats For Ultimate Axis MOD (2/27/2010 12:42:26 AM)

For ranges I would scale them off the ranges of a comparable plane like the Ki-61, meaning look at the ratio of Max/Ext/Nrm ranges for that and put yours in a similar ratio.

For drop tanks, if you know how much fuel the plane carried internally you can estimate the effect of different drop tanks on it roughly.

As for manuever ratings, I think 15 is reasonable for high alt. I dont know much about the Fw190s performance, but would guess they would be lower across the board, maybe moreso at high alttitude.

che200 -> RE: BF-109 Stats For Ultimate Axis MOD (2/27/2010 12:48:00 AM)

Juan tomorrow i Will be posting the updated BF-109 Stats and in a new thread the FW-190 Stats will see what i come up with and we can compare them.

trojan -> RE: BF-109 Stats For Ultimate Axis MOD (2/27/2010 7:29:08 AM)

Dont forget possibly the best version of the Me 109, the Me 109 F-2

T-1 max speed 453 ??

That is 728 km/h..since it's in mph in Witp/AE. [8D]

Bubi Hartmann -> RE: BF-109 Stats For Ultimate Axis MOD (2/27/2010 2:31:14 PM)

Hi,

even though the search for an editor for the map is still going on,
I've migrated most of the War in Russia Mod from the regular WitP
to AE. Lots of new data and options await...
Maybe this plane data can help you with the data for your own Mod,
I'd also appreciate any feedback, suggestions, critics, ....

Bubi you just mad my day! I was getting confused with the FW-190 to many models and you just gave me all the answers thanks.

Do you have the ranges ?

Nemo121 -> RE: BF-109 Stats For Ultimate Axis MOD (2/27/2010 3:50:23 PM)

Bubi,

A few questions:
1. Are you really saying the Bf109s were more manoeuvrable than the Zero up high? Neither they nor the Zeroes were good high-altitude performers but I find it difficult to thinkof th 109 as being more manoeuvrable.

2. The high altitude differential between your 109s etc and the Ta-152H seems far too small..

3. Bombers with manoeuvre of 0 ???

1. The way I understand it, the Bf-109 was decent at low levels, but lacked power and manuevre at higher altitudes.

2. Ta-152H was designed as a high altitude interceptor. It generally shoudl perform worse at lower altitudes the way I understand it.

3. Should even the heavies be around 2-4?

Dili -> RE: BF-109 Stats For Ultimate Axis MOD (2/27/2010 4:09:00 PM)

Depends of what Bf 109 we are talking about. Those with DB-605 were certainly better than Zero at altitude. Fw 190 wwre only good at low-medium level.

Note that in stock most bombers have a manuever value, but no individual values for alttitude bands. I am not sure why this is, but I believe that it is intentional and should thus be followed for any bombers that are added later.

Nemo121 -> RE: BF-109 Stats For Ultimate Axis MOD (2/27/2010 4:35:14 PM)

Shark 7... Aye, my point is that the manoeuvre differential between Ta-152H and 109s at high altitude is tiny... If that were truly the case then there would have been no reason for the Ta-152 to have been developed.

As to the manoeuvre value. My quibble isn't with it being the same at all altitudes but with it being 0. I would imagine that a value of 0 there could mess things up in-game. I would set it to 2 as a minimum just to make sure you wouldn't end up with "divide by null" situations.

But its -not- zero. Only the individual alttitude maneuver values are 0, but the 'general' manuever values are not 0.

This is exactly the same as for all the bombers in the standard AE scenarios. Thus, it is as it should be.
